Assistantships and fellowships

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering currently has two research positions open. Compensation and hours vary by position. Please contact Kevin Hallinan for more information.

Hans von O'hain Ph.D. Fellowship
Available in the area of fuels and combustion research. Fellow would conduct research at the Air Force Research Laboratory's world class High Power Combustion facilities.

Aircraft Energy Harvesting and Management Ph.D. Assistantship
Research will focus on the development of energy harvesting and management strategies for aircrafts. One specific research item would be to evaluate the use of thermoelectric energy conversion devices to recover waste heat from aircrafts.

Green card or citizenship is required for both.
