Industrial engineering technologists are people who enjoy analyzing and improving processes by optimizing the right mix of people, materials, equipment and information. Industrial engineering technologists focus on the big picture. They are interested in improving the productivity of the workforce, the quality of the products or services, and the costs to provide those products or services.

Industrial engineering technology focuses on the application of industrial engineering technology principles in order to design, improve and install integrated systems of people, material, equipment and information.

Graduates of the industrial engineering technology program will find that their degree and skills are applicable in a wide variety of industries and fields. Industrial engineering technologists can be found in manufacturing, medical care, transportation, entertainment, logistics, supply chain management, software development and amusement parks.
