Manufacturing engineering technology

A manufacturing professional is a leader, one who can organize a diverse group of people to focus on a particular problem. He or she can handle multiple tasks and respond quickly to changing situations. At times it may be very important to perform effectively as a member of a team, while other situations may call for strong leadership and management skills.

Graduates with manufacturing engineering technology degrees will be able to fill a wide variety of positions, including robotics and industrial automation; computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM); computer integrated manufacturing (CIM); technical sales; plant and facilities engineering; production and business management; machinery and tool design; and process and quality engineering. Starting salaries for these graduates have been among the highest of all bachelor degree graduates in the University. Employment opportunities and long-term career outlook are excellent. Graduates of this program frequently obtain a master’s degree in management science or business administration.

This program is accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (TAC/ABET).
