Research Interests:

  • Gas-phase chemical kinetic studies with emphasis on the isolation of free radical reactions involving small free radicals and the measurement of rate constants over wide ranges of temperature using a pulsed laser photolysis/laser-induced fluorescence (PLP/LIF) technique
  • Development of a combining pulsed laser photolysis photo-ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry technique for chemical kinetic studies of polyatomic free radicals
  • Theoretical modeling of chemical reactions using dynamical theories and ab initio information about potential energy surfaces
  • Post-combustion modeling of oxidation of halogenated hydrocarbons
