Research Opportunities
for Undergraduates

The University of Dayton offers several opportunities for research at the undergraduate level.

Undergraduates can assist in basic and applied research under the direction of School of Engineering faculty. In addition, students can gain research experience through:

Undergraduates typically perform research in UD's six-story Kettering Laboratories building, which features 88 fully-equipped laboratories; the state-of-the-art Science Center; Mechanical Engineering Building; Shroyer Park Center and Caldwell Street Center.

Through the University Honors and Berry Scholars Programs, students can receive academic credit for research performed. Students can also apply for grants to help with costs associated with engineering service and research projects through the Learn, Lead and Serve Fund.

To learn more about research opportunities for engineering undergraduates, visit one of the academic programs related to your research area of interest or contact UDRI.
